The Off-Game Combat Rules

These rules have been written in order to maintain the simulated combats harmless in every situation. Every player must know these by heart, so that they obey these rules automatically, reflex-like.

Remote Combat

  • All combat which takes place over 2m of distance, is remote combat.
  • If your target's torso is visible, aiming/shooting his/her head is strictly forbidden.
  • If you want to shoot someone from near distance (20 cm), shout something like "KABOOM, you're hit", first. If your weapon was pressed against your target, his HL will decrease to "Invalid" despite the BT (armours do decrease the amount of hits in their normal fashion).
  • If someone is trying to escape the situation, where your gun is in neardistance from the target's body, you may shoot. If there is no doubt from the hit, KABOOM is preferred. Alternately, you may shout, when firing a shot of series with a weapon associated to this kind of option something like SSSSARJA (which, in finnish, is Series), well, shout something, that clearly announced that you just shot several bullets to - if needed - break a Ceramic plate.
  • If you don't know what kind of gun shot you, presume it was a pistol caliber.
  • Using Battlechemicals from beyond 2m is also Remote combat.

Melee Combat

Rotating, circulating kicks and blows are absolutely forbidden, as well as elbow and knee blows. Don't strike and kick if you don't know the exact location of your opponent. The location of your opponent is unsure as soon as you loose eye-contact. All blows are made with an open palm, not with fists. Remember, that in slow-motion melee combats, the weapons are also used slowly. Make sure that your opponent understands she/he was hit by the weapon. Throws and sweeps are forbidden. But tripping your opponent in such a fashion that he /she hits the ground softly is allowed. Wrestling on the ground doesn't seem to cause damage. If you get to hold your opponent on the ground, you may even get to beat him/her unconscious. If you have a hold of your opponents neck or head, after 10 seconds your opponent will be unconscious. If the opponent gives up, he/she will become unconscious. If you want to surrender in melee combat, tap your opponent or the ground lightly with your palm. If your hands are tied, you can say something like "offgame" I surrender!" If you want to shoot your melee opponent, try to take enough distance (basicly, the remote combat line mentioned above is that 2m distance). Shots from nearby are painful and pulling guns and the waving which follows may be hazardous to your health. NO HITS TO THE GENITALS!!! When two characters are fighting melee with Rock-Paper-Scissors

  1. Both announce what they will do
  2. They take the test
  3. Compare BT (if necessary), the winner's action succeeds. By ties, both succeed or the situation stays normal.
  4. Damage is counted and you shout the viewers what's going on.

GOTO 1.

For example: Aunt Tillie attacks Kalle with her umbrella. Aunt Tillie has Average BT and Kalle has Strong.

Aunt Tillie tries to hit, and Kalle as well. Aunt Tillie succeeds (she wins the test) and Kalle gets hurt.

Satisfied, Aunt Tillie decides to leave the scene, but Kalle wants to grab her by her throat. Kalle wins the test and Aunt Tillie is in deep trouble.

Aunt Tillie wants to break free and Kalle squeezes her hard. It's a tie and the BTs are the same (Kalle just suffered the umbrella), so nothing happens, for both cannot succeed.

Aunt Tillie decides to kick Kalle on his toes and Kalle decides to hit the Aunt he's holding with a cassette recorder. It's a tie again and theyboth succeed and crawl to different direction, in search for the nearest medical clinic.
