Wanderer IIIc
QUESTION:
Some people have special diets, for allergy or other reasons. How is
this real-life constraint taken in the account in "eat only when ordered
and what is ordered".
Examples when this makes a great difference:
- A vegetarian will not eat meat. Of course, in-game meat could be some
veggie stuff, but forcing someone to eat something that is completely
against their normal lifestyle is tasteless. It is also a question of
digestion - someone who has not eaten meat for years *will* get sick and
nauseous if he eats meat.
- People with allergies may suffer dire consequences (even death) if
forced to eat wrong substances.
- People with diabetes require regular meals
So, does strict conformance to some special diet form an unsurmountable
obstacle for participation? If it does, then these kind of things should
be included in the questionnaire.
Eating something you dislike and something that will upset your
digestive system are very different. The first I could do, the second I
would not.
ANSWER:All meals in the game are non-lactose foods which does not contain any meat
in any form, with one exception. This exception is not mandatory for anyone
and actually applies for only very small group of people.
There'll be two to four meals a day, for everyone, as in prison.
The actual amount is highly depending on the role you play. In the isolation
you'll get only two meals, where as guards and regular prisoners do
get four meals per day. The meals might not be yammy, but sufficient to
fullfil normal needs.
- QUESTION: I have not been in any previous Wanderer Games, may I still join?
ANSWER:Yes, you may. Being in any previous games is not a pre-requisite, but of course
it's preferable. Having some larping experience is also big benefit.
- QUESTION: Where should I send my picture?
ANSWER:Correct adress by email is:w3c-pictures@wanderer.org and
correspondingly by snail mail: Timo Multamäki, Sammalkallio 12 B, 02400 KIRKKONUMMI.
- QUESTION:Who can have D status?
ANSWER:Well, the D statua will be given to persons who are known
to be solid. This does not mean that only gamemasters friends are given
D status, as not even all gamemasters can have D status. D means that you
can take very realistic approach for the game. This means from GM's point of
view that the person with D status better must be mentally healthy and a person
who understands off-game commands. To have at least some knowledge of our players we
try to interview persons applying D status prior to the game. Ultimately
the guestion whether to grant it or not is on gamemasters hands... and we have
only couple of gamemasters who can grant such status.
- QUESTION:Payment information:
Account Number: 241718-16710
Account: Etelä-Suomen Rooli- & Strategiapeli Yhdistys ry
Reference number: xxxxx
Sum: 40 Euro
- Question: What if my character dies during the game? Are there "spare"
characters available?
ANSWER:Yes. 10+ spare characters do exist. Do not kill more than that, ok?
- Question:What is the expected game style?
ANSWER:The gamemasters expectation of gamestyle is more 'realistic' and less on-the-edge dramatic.
Naturally there's some amount of playing out of your traits, personality and quirks,
but we shall not encourage overplaying of such features. Instead we shall
encourage players to find the mindset of the character and play that out.
Finding and playing the mindset can happen within the player itself or
in some cases, it might lead to playing out something visible to others
as well.
